What we sell, and what we don't

Japanese designs, made in Asia. Cotton, linen or polyester as stated on each piece, never silk. We name every garment for what it is: a kimono jacket is not a haori, an unlined kimono is not a yukata.

About this piece

YONAKU gift card, sent by email with a code, from 25 to 200 dollars

A card for someone who would rather choose. This is the YONAKU gift card, a code sent by email that is entered at checkout and pays for anything in the shop, a kimono jacket, a pair of geta, a lucky cat or a noren, in four amounts: 25, 50, 100 or 200 dollars. It arrives within minutes of the order, it never expires, and it can be spent across several orders until the balance is gone.

It is the thing to give when you know the person likes Japan and do not know their size, and it is the thing to ask for when you do.

There is no name to explain: it is a gift card, and it does what one does.

The card is digital. After the order, an email goes to the address you give with a code and the balance; you can send it to yourself and pass it on, or straight to the person with a message. The code works on the whole shop, on sale items too, and it can be combined with a discount code.

Give it for a birthday, a wedding, a new home, a graduation, or because the person has been looking at the sukajan for a month and has not decided which. The recipient enters the code in the gift card field at checkout and the balance comes off the order; anything left stays on the card.

The four amounts are four kinds of present: 25 dollars is a furoshiki, a fan or an omamori; 50 is a pair of geta, a noren or a maneki neko; 100 is a haori, a hoodie or a sake set; 200 is a kimono jacket, a sukajan or most of an outfit. Any amount can be topped up at checkout with a card.

The balance is the detail: it does not have to be spent at once, and the shop keeps the remainder on the code, so a 200-dollar card can buy a jacket in October and a pair of socks in December. It never expires.

From across a room it is an email. From close it is a code, an amount and a message. It is the gift for a person who knows what they want and a giver who does not.

There is nothing to look after; keep the email. If it is lost, write to us with the order number and we resend the code.

Four amounts: 25, 50, 100 or 200 dollars. Sent by email to the address you choose, within minutes of the order. Valid on everything in the shop, without expiry.
